Ok, so moments like these simply MELT MY HEART. It is these type of moments that remind me that I am right where God wants me to be, using the gifts that He gave me. A gift that allows others to feel love and experience and capture the pure joy in the moment. A moment such as this.
So this is my baby brother…I adore him and have since the moment I found out my mom was having a baby! I developed my baby hog tendencies from the very early age of 10 and it has stuck with me ever since! But this guy right here is one of the sweetest, most genuine guys you’ll ever meet and I knew that one day, when he was all grown up and had done many of the adventurous things on his bucket list that he would make a girl so very happy. And then he met Whitney and from the moment we met her, our family fell in love. She fits right in, and she is absolutely perfect for him and him for her. And while all of this happened so fast in 2019, I know that God has a plan and He has made some big ones for that brother of mine. So now fast forward a few short days before Christmas when he is sitting in the kitchen with my husband discussing where to go for some “last minute” Christmas shopping. Say whaaat?!?! All the while, he is planning on giving the love of his life a ring for Christmas. But plans may have changed when one excited Whitney confesses to his sister that she knows Caleb wants to propose! Yikes… a cliche Christmas proposal just won’t do at this point, she knows its coming!!
So we racked our brains and put together the idea of surprising her during a maternity session she wanted to do. Since most of our mommas get pampered with hair and makeup before their session, we got her all set up for that and she looked absolutely stunning for her maternity session. This was New Years Day…and I think she may have been getting a little bit antsy when the proposal didn’t arrive on Christmas Eve…or Christmas …. or even New Years Eve. BUT, it was worth the wait to catch her by complete surprise, looking as beautiful as ever. And from that moment, I officially gained another sister!!!
